All private land owner fees and DOC concessions are included in the tour cost.
TOUR SAFETY AND COMFORT
Our day tours take visitors to parts of the Chatham Islands that are only accessible by guide, it is important that visitors advise of any health concerns or physical issues that could impact the tour. The tour requires people to be of a level of fitness that enables them to walk up steps, uneven surfaces and up hills. Visitors are also required to be wearing appropriate footwear such as tramping boots or running shoes and appropriate warm clothes for the trip.
The tours travel to parts of the Chatham Islands where roads are unsealed and corrugated. As a result, our vehicles display a corresponding level of wear and tear. Due to its remoteness, the Chatham Islands do not have the accessibility to vehicles as does the mainland of New Zealand. Whilst our vehicles are comfortable, we recommend that people that find discomfort with sitting for periods of time, or back issues may find the tour on Chatham Island roads uncomfortable and therefore don’t recommend our tours.
